Free Addition Facts Jenga

Rachel Lynette at Classroom Freebies designed this cute activity.

"Kids love playing Jenga, so why not use this popular game to practice basic math facts? If you don't have a game in your classroom already, they are pretty easy to find at thrift shops for just  a dollar or two. It doesn't even matter if a few of the blocks are missing.
The game requires a little prep since you must cut the strips and tape them to the Jenga blocks ( this would also be a swell job for a parent volunteer). Once the game is ready, it can be played all year long."

My First Attempt at Blogging

Hello all!
I am a first grade teacher in Kansas, and I am addicted to reading other teacher's blogs. I have found a ton of cute activities, lessons, ideas, and classroom strategies from all you wonderful teachers out there. I wanted to start a blog mainly because it is becoming too hard to send email links to all my teacher friends. My main objective is to find cute ideas (and maybe post some of my own if I get really ambitious) for my friends to be able to easily locate. If you have any great ideas you can send them to me at: mrs.trulove@yahoo.com.
Have a fabulous weekend!
